Ilona Maxon
Adult Nurse Practitioner

Ms. Ilona Maxon joined Primary Care Nursing in May 2008 as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Mount Vernon Hospital School of Nursing in New York and continued to work at Mount Vernon Hospital as a Registered Nurse for many years. She completed her educational requirements to receive her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Nursing degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She is certified by the ANCC to care for adolescents and adults with acute and chronic illnesses. She has also completed most of the requirements to become a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, specializing in the care of the elderly, and expects to receive this certification in the near future. Her special interests include health promotion, nutrition and care of the elderly.
