Nursing
at Receiving
Welcome Letter from
Detroit
Receiving
Hospital
(DRH) Vice President,
Patient Care Services
I would like to welcome you to the Nursing Patient Care Services
department at Detroit Receiving Hospital (DRH). I extend an invitation for you to look
at our nursing homepage. As the
vice president of Patient Care Services, it is my honor to work among the best
and the brightest. I recently
joined DRH and it did not take long for me
to notice the compassion and commitment each of our nurses demonstrated in their
delivery of care. Beyond this, I also learned firsthand the dedication to
nursing excellence operationalized and articulated by
DRH nurses. I hope you enjoy reading
about their commitment and dedication on the “Meet DRH Nurses” section of this
webpage.
We are currently on the Magnet
Journey to Excellence. Magnet Designation recognizes nursing excellence. This award is given to organizations
that satisfy a set of criteria defined by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center.
I feel privileged to work with
this dedicated team of registered nurses who are actively involved in shared
decision-making. They utilize their current knowledge, experience and skills to
ensure quality outcomes for our patients.
Please utilize our website as a
resource for learning about our professional practice of nursing at
DRH, the shared governance councils,
the magnet journey to nursing excellence, and nursing education and
recruitment. If these resonant with
you, then become a member of our collaborative, dynamic and passionate
team.
Thank you for your interest in nursing at DRH.
Warm regards,
Deborah
Leblanc BSN,
MM, NEA-BC
VP,
Patient Care Services

Meet DRH Nurses
The compassion, commitment and
caring that our nurses provide everyday to the patients and families entrusted
in their care provides a snapshot of nursing at DRH. From high-tech stroke and
emergency care to a simple human touch, DRH nurses are reducing injury,
preventing illness and improving the health and well-being of residents
throughout southeast Michigan. This is the image of nursing at Detroit
Receiving.
