Rosa Parks Geriatric Center is dedicated to servicing the health needs of adults
60 and older. The Health Center team, led by Dr. Lavoisier Cardozo, the
Medical Centerís director of geriatrics, is
comprised of board-certified geriatric specialty physicians, certified nurse
practitioners and geriatric medicine professors. Each team member is experienced
in working with older adults, and is committed to understanding the patientís
needs. Through a multidisciplinary
approach, the Center provides comprehensive primary care, and also focuses on
those conditions common to seniors, including depression, heart disease, memory
loss, high blood pressure and diabetes.

psychiatry, as well as diagnostic testing.
This wide variety of programs and health services is designed to help
patients over the age of 60 maximize their health. In addition, the center

care and ethnogeriatrics, and provides comprehensive clinical and support

discuss health conditions and possible emergencies, and free counseling
regarding access to community services.
