The only unit of its kind in Wayne County, Detroit Receiving Hospital’s ACE
unit focuses on:
- Providing quality patient care through the expertise of our
multidisciplinary team.
- Maintaining and improving the functional level of the older patient.
- Promoting satisfaction among our patients, as well as their families and
significant others, through educational involvement with ACE team members.
- Providing adequate pain management.
Patients admitted to Receiving’s ACE unit, receive the highest quality of
care in a professional and caring environment. Our multidisciplinary approach to
geriatric medicine enhances continuity of care, incorporating all aspects of
treatment. Our team, consisting of physicians, geriatricians, nurse
practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, social
workers, chaplains, Visiting Nurse liaisons, educators and clinical management
specialists, is dedicated to the health, well-being and special needs of our
patients.
