August, 2002
Dear Sirs,
April 12, 2002 started out pretty normal. By 8:30 a.m., quite a drastic change came about. I received a phone call from Daimler Chrylser medical department that my husband had second degree burns on his hand and up to his elbow on the left arm. I was then told he was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital, the whereabouts of which, I hadn't a clue.
We ended up, of course, in the Burn Center, and I would just like to tell you Carl and the lady helper that day made a lasting impression on both Leon and I. They demonstrated what kindness and compassion are all about. Carl even went out of his way to show us the way back to the parking garage (since neither one of us had a clue).
It goes to show you there are still people in the "day and age" that go above the "norm" to do an excellent job with kindness and compassion and real human caring.
With heartfelt thanks and God's blessings to your workers,
Leon and Debbie Gazdzial
