Employed with the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) since 2002, Gloria Larkins has served as Vice President, Finance for Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center (DRHUHC) since late 2004.

Prior to working at DRHUHC, Larkins held the same position for Harper University Hospital, Hutzel Women's Hospital and Karmanos Cancer Hospital combined.

In her position, she is responsible for providing financial leadership and direction of general accounting, budget, financial analysis and financial reporting functions to support operational and budgetary decision-making. She also assists the hospital President in addressing, interpreting, resolving and monitoring financial, operational and strategic issues.

Prior to joining the Detroit Medical Center, Larkins was employed by OmniCare Health Plan, The Children's Center of Wayne County, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and Ernst & Whinney.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of Detroit. In addition she completed the General Manager Program at the Harvard Business School.

A licensed CPA, Larkins is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
