HADI BERRY, D.O. VICE PRESIDENT OF MEDICAL AFFAIRS

 

Hadi Berry, D.O. is certified as a physician by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His special interests are the treatment of opioid abuse and advance care planning.

As a cum laude graduate from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, Dr. Berry achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After attending law school in Lebanon for two years, he returned to the United States and received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southern University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. An active member of Alpha Omega Alpha, Dr. Berry completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

As a professional, Dr. Berry has demonstrated exceptional leadership ability while serving as associate program director for inpatients operations at Wayne State University. He also has served as an associate professor at Wayne State University, the University of Toledo and the University of Michigan.

A native of Dearborn, Dr. Berry is committed to social service. As an active member of Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), he has volunteered countless hours and provided substantial philanthropic support for causes that uplift the less fortunate.

As the vice president of medical affairs at the Detroit Medical Center’s Detroit Receiving Hospital, Dr. Berry is committed to a culture of excellence. His vision is for Detroit Receiving Hospital to be a state-of the-art facility. “My goal is for our hospital to be the number one example of best practices in the United States,” said Dr. Berry. “The key to our achieving this will be quality outcomes, physician recruitment and an exceptional experience for our patients.”
